The Freshman Experience

As the semester comes to an end so does my blog.  My first semester at the University of Delaware has been amazing. Coming here not know what to expect was scary for me but I couldn’t be happier that I chose this school. 

If I had to do my first semester over again I would do many things differently.  Over the course of these months I have changed so much in every aspect.  I think the biggest thing that has changed in me is my work ethic.  In high school I tended to just do the bare minimum and do fairly well but at Delaware I feel I try so much harder and put all my effort into my schoolwork.  College has made me realize that what I am doing now will effect my future. 

I definitely feel more independent and more of an adult then when I came to school.  Living on my own and not having my parents over my shoulder all the time has been fun but now that Thanksgiving break and Christmas break are coming up and I will be going home to live with my parents.  As most students are, I could not be happier to go see my family and friends but at the same time it is going to be weird living with my parents and their rules.  Along with living at home so many other things are going be different.   People have changed and it will really hit us that we are no longer in high school and that we are growing up. 

I am only a freshman and I have 3 more years after this at Delaware but I know they will go by so fast just like the first semester. Creating my blog for English class was fun in that I know I get to look back at them and remember what I was going through freshman year, first semester.
